Dr. Miri Yochanna is the Head of the English Department, in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, at Kibbutzim College of Education, in Tel Aviv, Israel. She is a linguist and has been a TESOL teacher trainer for over thirty years. Her expertise is in applied linguistics, ESL methodology, material development, and assessment and evaluation. Her research focuses on teacher training, preservice ESL teachers, self-efficacy, and the enhancement of preservice teacher ability, self-perception, and self-confidence as well as bilingualism and bilingual identity. Likewise, she develops, edits, and evaluates teaching materials for English language education for mainstream schools and others.
