Julio Freitas is a PhD candidate in Education and Digital Technologies at the University of Lisbon, holds a Master’s degree in Administration (PUC-Rio) and Education (University of Lisbon), author and professor with over 20 years of experience. He is the founder and CEO of Empatizar, an institute that proposes new educational pathways to develop personal and interpersonal skills, fostering a more fulfilling and happy life.
Currently, he focuses on researching the use of games and dynamics to enhance engagement and create a fertile ground for behavioral change. His current project, Entre Mundos (Among Worlds), is a multiplayer digital game designed to provide a playful yet scientifically grounded environment, based on state-of-the-art research in sociocognitive neuroscience, to promote Attentional Engagement, Self-Awareness, and Diversity of Experiences.
