Dr. Aruna Nandasena is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University. In 2012, he received his Ph.D. from Saitama University in Japan. His study focuses on eco-system-based disaster reduction, with a special emphasis on tsunamis and storms. He is also interested in creating new tools for educating students about complex hydrosphere processes.
